Nathan Lost 42.5 Pounds!
At the end of 2008 I finally understood that if I did not change my life style when it came to the way I viewed food and exercise I would find myself in the grave at a young age. I knew that I wanted to be in good health long after I turn 70 years old. In December of 2008 I saw Dr. Gray's ad for MD Weight loss and knew that I would need help if I was going to make a change for the better. I called Dr. Gray's office in January 2009 and made an appointment.
I have been going to see Dr. Gray every month since my first appointment. Dr. Gray helped me see that I was not going on a diet, but I was changing my life. I was diagnosed with a form of arthritis when I was 21, and had been in pain everyday no matter how much medication I took. I used to take ibuprofen every day that was until I was able to start to get my weight under control.
Today I eat healthy fresh foods only for energy to get me through the day. I eat six small meals a day and work out on average one hour a day. I feel like I am finally living my life and not just existing. Today my goal has changed from weight loss to maintaining a healthy lifestyle losing more body fat. In the last year my waist has gone from a size 40 to a size 31, and I have lost half of the body fat that I once had. I would recommend Dr. Gray to anyone whom is looking for a life change, and I have. My parents and my sister and brother in-law now see Dr. Gray because of the success he has helped me achieve.
Marcia Lost 50 Pounds!
I've had a problem with my weight for over 20 years. I would lose weight and then gain it back again. Since I started going to MD Weight Loss, I've got on the right track. I exercise everyday and have learned how to eat healthy and nutrious meals that satisfy me. I feel very good and confident about myself after going from a size 22 to a size 10,and losing over 50 pounds. I didnt think it was possible but I'm proof it works.
Albert Lost 223.5 Pounds!
At age 40, I weighed 465 lbs. I told my wife I would not see my 50th birthday. She asked why I would say such a thing. I asked to name one person that she knew that was 50 years old and weighed 500 lbs. She had no answer which was my point. I swore I would never reach 500 lbs but I kept getting closer. I knew what I was doing to my body but it was easier to do nothing.
One day my wife came home from work and said Dr. Gray was starting a weight loss program. I told her if she would do it with me, I would give it a try. I needed her help and support. The thought of leaving her behind as an early widow was no longer acceptable. I wanted a long life with her.
I went to my first appointment and hit the scales at 482 lbs. I had a lot of work to do. My goal was to cut my weight in half. As a truck driver I sit 10 to 12 hours a day with no exercise. Once spring came, I started to walk at my deliveries for 30 to 60 minutes a day. By July, I had lost 142 lbs. I was ready to move to the next level. For once in my life I had the energy and was ready to exercise. The question was how and where.
One day at a delivery, I saw a gym that has multiple locations throughout the country. I thought this could be my answer. I looked into it and found out that I can work out any time of the day. I now have used 19 different locations. Since I have joined the gym, I have lost an additional 81 lbs and 10.6% fat for a total of 223.5 lbs and 27.8% fat.
As I am getting closer to my original goal of weighing 241 lbs, I am setting my goal now to 220 lbs. I have gone from getting winded walking up a flight of stairs to putting in 8-12 miles a day on the treadmill. I still have work to do but I have made it this far because of three things...
First, the strength, courage and grace of God. Second, the knowledge and guidance of Dr. Gray and third, the love and support of my wife. We both have a new look on life and can look forward to a long life together. I am forever grateful to Dr. Gray for getting me started on my weight loss.
Joni Lost 94 Pounds!
I have had a long battle with my weight. I avoided dieting because I knew I wouldn't be successful. I avoided the scales because I didn't want to know how much I weighed let alone anyone else. I was very ashamed of my weight but didn't have enough courage to do anything about it. It was easier just to eat what I wanted, when I wanted. I lost 60 pounds in one year in 1989 and kept it off for about four years but slowly the weight came back on and I kept gaining. I told myself I would never go thorugh that torture again and didn't until I heard about Dr. Gray's weight loss program.
My husband was actually the one that wanted to try the program but he said he would not be able to do it without me doing it as well. He is a truck driver and is gone all week so I decided I would do the program on the weekends when he was home and during the week, do my own thing. We started the program on October 12, 2008. The first couple of weeks I did as planned, but when I started to lose weight, I realized this was not like the past diet. Dr. Gray educated me on how to eat healthier and also how to exercise to help with the weight loss. It has been so much easier this time to lose weight. I have now lost 94 pounds!
Before I lost the weight, I felt tired all the time and couldn't get up and down without needing something to hold on to. I would avoid shopping for clothes as much as possible because I would get so depressed when nothing would fit or it would look terrible on me. I avoided clothes that would make people notice me. Now, I have so much energy and I don't have that exhausted feeling anymore. I can now go to any given shop and the clothes fit!!! It feels good to have fun clothes now. I feel so much better!
