Weight Loss Programs
At MD Weight Loss, we recognize that each person is unique and has different issues that contribute to their struggle with weight. Accordingly, our plans are individualized to meet the needs of the individual and ensure effective weight loss.
Regular Food with Appetite Supressant
In this program, we give you strict guidelines on what you should be eating, along with an appetite suppressant, short-term, to help curb your appetite. We usually use an 1100 calorie diet, so the weight loss is steady and sure. This plan requires a doctor visit every 4 weeks.
Modified Diet
In this program, we substitute 2 meals, usually breakfast and lunch, with high protein medical grade shakes, and then have you prepare a delicious 500 calorie dinner on your own, for a daily total of 1100 calories. The weight loss is a little slower with this plan, but it is still considerable. This plan requires visits with the doctor every 2 weeks at first.
Very Low Calorie Diet
This program is the most aggressive program we offer. We take you off of “regular” food, and we start you on medical grade high-protein shakes and bars totaling 800 calories per day. You need to be monitored closely, especially if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or any other medical problem, but we watch everyone closely. This plan requires weekly visits with the doctor, and you can expect to lose 15-20 pounds in 6 weeks, depending on your starting weight and baseline metabolism.
